A machine used for the  centrifugation of the  liquid phase that consists of a container rotating on a vertical axis.

Example

The vertical centrifuge is essentially a modified separator that spins on a vertical axis at about 6,000 rpm and achieves 4 times the separation of the horizontal centrifuge.
