Agriculture | n. phr.
a kind of olive grove that incorporates some irrigation system, which allows increasing its yield by comparison to non-irrigated olive groves.

Example

It is widely accepted that olive trees can be planted in irrigated olive groves year round if the winter temperatures do not fall below -5°C [...] However, access to irrigation water reduces the need for such seasonal planting. A properly irrigated grove will withstand much greater extremes in temperatures than a traditionally planted dry land grove.

Additional information

The high yield of irrigated olive groves has lead to a gradual increase in the surface devoted to them in Spain. In Andalusia, there are 449,000 hectares of irrigated olive groves, almost half of the entire Andalusian olive grove surface.
